Benoit Cottereau

Bio :

I am a CNRS researcher in the ECO-3D team of the Cerco and the co-responsible of the ’Neurosciences, Behavior and Cognition’ master program of Paul Sabatier University (Toulouse). I graduated as a signal processing engineer in 2004 and obtained a PhD in neuroimaging in 2008. After that, I spent 3 years as a post-doctoral fellow in Stanford University. My research focuses on the visual system. I aim at understanding the neural mechanisms leading to visual perception from interdisciplinary approaches that gather behavioural studies (psychophysics), multimodal neuroimaging (fMRI, EEG and MEG) and computational modelling. My work has numerous clinical applications (e.g. for patients suffering from eye diseases) and technological outputs (e.g. for developing artificial vision system).
